Editing Message Content

Edit messages in the console and offer a more personalized experience.

At the Shop Settings tab of the AI In-Game Shop > Shop Operation > Setting/Managementpage, edit the messages for each persona to fit the style of your game. You can edit messages from the edit message page accessed by clicking the Edit Message button.

You can only access the Shop Settings tab of the AI In-Game Shop > Shop Operation > Setting/Management page only after you have uploaded a product information file. To learn more about this process, please refer to File Upload.

If you wish to customized the message beyond the range of customization that can be done in the console, and wish to edit the base template, this must be done in Unity. If the template is not edited, the message will be sent with TentuPlay’s default templates. To learn more about this, please refer to Create a Message Template.

Editing the Message and Image

By pressing the Add Language button, you can add message titles, images, links, etc by language. When you click the button the message’s content will show up in a pop-up window.

  • Language Code: Language codes utilized by the SDK such as en or ko

  • Message Title: The title of the message that will be shown to users when the message is sent

  • Image: Image URL

  • Don’t Show Again Message: The message to be used to title the toggle

  • Message Content: Utilizing the Usable Parameters you can create a personalized message that is tailor made for each and every persona. The Usable Parameters may differ by persona and are entered into the message in the form of {parameter}.

    The message content supports a Rich Text formatting. For more information, see the Unity documentation.
  • Message Check Button: A button to check and edit messages with errors. As messages with errors can not be added, please check your message with the Message Check Button before adding.

Valid Message Example

This is an example created using the following parameters of the Smart and Busy persona: currency_earned, level_delta, segment_range. As there is a list of Usable Parameters in the Message Content pop-up, you can utilize these parameters to create a personalized message.

When the formatting is correct but there are errors in the parameters, an error message about which parameter has been entered incorrectly will occur

If, while creating a message, the formatting of a parameter { } is incorrect, an error will be returned. In this case, edit the message and click the Message Check button again.

Changing Validity Period

  • Validity Period After Delivery: This sets the validity period of a promotion for a user after a message is sent. For example, if the validity period after delivery was set to 48 hours and a message was sent to them on Jan 1st 9 A.M., the user will be able to check the personalized offer until Jan 3rd 8:59 A.M.

  • Validity Period After View: Sets the validity period of a promotion for a user after a message is viewed. For example, if the validity period after view was set for 48 hours and the message was sent on Jan 1st, 9 A.M. but the user viewed the message on Jan 1st 3 P.M., the user will be able to check the personalized offer until Jan 3rd 2:59 P.M.
