Glossary

A collection of terms often used in TentuPlay throughout the Console and the documentation.

active users (AU)

The users who uses a product or services regularly and in a meaningful way during a recent period of time.

average revenue per paying user (ARPPU)

An average sum that a paying user pays.

ARPPU = revenue / the number of paying users

average revenue per user (ARPU)

An average sum that an active user pays.

ARPU = revenue / the number of active users

churn rate

The rate at which users are likely to leave a game or a service at any time.

churn users

In TentuPlay, the users who has logged in to a game or service once or more and have churned during a given period.

cohort

A group of users that have at least one characteristic or experience in common.

daily active users (DAU)

The number of active users on a specific day.

in-app purchase (IAP)

The buying of goods and services from inside an application.

lifetime

In TentuPlay, the peroid from the signup (Join) date and the last date of attendance (Login).

lifetime value (LTV)

The monetary value of an average user over their lifetime with a game or service.

monthly active users (MAU)

The number of active users on a specific month.

motivated conversion rate

In TentuPlay, the rate at which users have been converted from new users to motivated users.

motivated return rate

In TentuPlay, the rate at which users have returned to motivated users among the users with churn record.

motivated return rate = the number of motivated users with churn record / the total number of users with churn record

motivated users

In TentuPlay, the users who has logged in to a game or service for two days or more and have not churned during a given period.

new users
  1. The users who has signed up for an account and has logged in to a game or service.

  2. In TentuPlay, the users who have a Join event during a specified period.

paying users (PU)

The users who has purchased virtual items or services during the relevant period.

prefab

According to Unity’s manual, a type of asset that stores a GameObject with its components, properties, and acts as a template fro creating new object instances.

retention rate

The rate at which users who still play a game or use a service a certain number of days after install or signup and that is used to measure customer loyalty to a product or the ability for a company to keep its customer over time.

revenue

The total amount of income generated by the sale of goods and services.

users with churn record

In TentuPlay, the users who have ever churned regardless of whether they are still churn users or has become motivated users.

wanderer

In TentuPlay, the users who has logged in to a game or service for only one day and have not churned during a given period.

weekly active users (WAU)

The number of active users on a specific week.
